A story about mental health, magical forest denizens, and being compassionate towards others. This collection contains the first chapter of the Forest and a two page bonus short, the New Year's Day.
Chapter 1 is a 24 page, black and white comic about Mila, a Forester, as she traverses the Forest and navigates the troubles of its denizens. This comic was created as part of a 24 hour comic challenge I undertook in 2015.
New Year's Day is a 2 page, plus cover, full color short set in the same world with the same characters. It was inspired by a translation of the French poem Du Premier Jour de l'An by Joachim de Bellay.
